The financial crisis has given lie to the idea that there is a way to do things. That if we submit and play along, we will have a good life. Life is still beyond our control, our best efforts will not be rewarded by other people. We need to be courageous, and take responsibility for our own lives.

It is such a fearsome world out there now, but it is also a time of vast opportunity for personal growth. In 2009, I have reclaimed The Pond for myself. The photography is a personal journey. As I seek to understand myself, I also seek what it means to be human, to live.
